With the burning of the books came an increase in propaganda against the Un-German Spirit, furthering the fiery barrier. More efforts to push Nazi ideals on both the youth and the general public were undertaken. Soon enough, more drastic measures were taken. Laws such as the Nuremberg Laws were put into place. Trangressions against LGBT, Jewish, Roma, and other populations were beginning to be pardoned and encouraged by the new Nazi government, and the Holocaust was underway.
